 Laser line nonpolarizing plate beamsplitters are efficient in applications in which the polarization characteristics of the incident laser radiation must be sustained in the reflected and transmitted beams. They are not as susceptible to polarization, have inconsequential absorbtion from the dielectric coatings and the second surface includes an antireflection coat.
